It has happened again! A site that is bold enough to ramp multiple accounts in just a few months. To make it exact, there are about 4 accounts launching just a week apart from each other. It’s crazy but if everybody pulls it off, then applause is in order.
So, what happens during a very fast ramp? It really depends on the number of seats and agents needed to fill in the client’s requirements. A dozen or so seats is manageable. But when you start talking by the hundreds, then that is another story.
1. Implementation meetings are scheduled together so close that most managers are just in every meeting after another.
2. The IT group is scrambling to get all technology up and running before live date. Testing is as hard as installing everything.
3. Facilities then go haywire on finding all the seats available or if the site has enough physical seats.
4. Training also gets stressed since everybody is just in the training rooms, fully utilized.
5. Finance is seeing all the money go out the door and keeping their fingers crossed that the site makes money during their forecast.
6. Quality is preparing all processes and the tools ready to go. IT and Training is their ally at this point.
So it does take a lot to start up a new project especially if the client is too demanding (which they usually are). Good luck everyone! Just remember to stop and smell the flowers, even if it’s just a minute.
