I gave my 45 days notice (yeah, that long) to my current employer last mid May. I have about a week and 1/2 left to finish the items I need to transition.
Am I quitting the industry? No I’m not. My priorities have changed when I got married and had to make a decision for my sanity’s sake and marriage. It’s ironic that the industry has given me so much but yet there is one thing that it has failed to give me – a child. Yes, you heard it. A child of my own.
Unfortunately, I’m not the one to get pregnant easily and my constant energy and urgency level at my job has left me no choice but to take a break from the hustle and bustle of work. I can’t wait and I know I have to now move on to other things.
The good thing is I can now focus on my project (the long awaited book). It’s time for me to share with everyone else (who are interested to know) my ideas and thoughts on the industry. Though writing for Call Center Script has been a blast (and will still continue), it’s time for me to broaden my scope of my audience.
So…maybe next month or when I’m really desperate for money / income, then I will go back to it. Other than that, I’m hoping I could just support it instead with my own business.
A toast is in order! *clink*
Priorities in life change from time to time because as we grow older, we become more mature person. Like call center needs to grow same as the their agents because that change will make them on top.
