The work environment is critical to any employee.  One particular thing that should be important in any call center are the chairs and tables, widely known as stations.  An agent is expected to sit on this chair for hours on end until the shift is over or when it’s time for a break.

If you haven’t been in a call center before, you will see that the usual stations would look very linear and boring.  Layout is pretty straight forward and the stations are not too comfortable.  Being a creative freak, I looked for some stations that would be at least different or hope that looks comfortable and functional fit for the job.

Here is one of my favorites.  These stations are being offered by a company in the UK (CHWORKSPACE) and wish that they could convince management to use it in today’s call centers…at least in our city.

It still looks linear but it has far more space than the usual workstation.  It looks very futuristic and cool!  I would love to come to work everyday if my station looked like this.  But, the monitor might be too small and since agents need to post notes and guides in the stations for easier access, this might not be too functional.  Obviously, having a wireless keyboard and mouse would definitely be useful.
