Only the call center industry will you find one of the funniest bloopers reported by the agents themselves. It’s interesting to note that the same people who stress over these mistakes can laugh at it during a smoke break.
Here are some bloopers that have been posted in cyberspace. Most are found in forums since this is a setting that call center personnel find comfort when posting their experiences, especially those that a lot can relate to and laugh at the same time.
So, here is the first edition of our Call Center Blurbs Funnies, Filipino style.
Thoresenine posts their Team Dictionary at the TipidPC forum.
Secant Floor = in tagalog “ikalawang palapag”
“Dun sa Secant floor mag-withdraw, may ATM dun”Binch = a long seat for more than one person
“Umupo ka malapit dun sa binch”Trabol = a source of difficulty
“parang trabol shooting lang”Fried Chicken = new term to use in phonetics
“Its ‘C’, ‘C’ for Fried Chicken”2 Meters = dapat ganito lang katagal naka-hold ang customer
“May I put you on hold for about 2 meters?”She = another way of asking a person’s gender
“Is she a girl or boy?”
Found Sign = the symbol on the right-hand side of “0″ on your Avaya
“Pindotin mo yung found sign after nung number”
This is what Ramyan has contributed. An agent receives a call from an irate caller who kept on swearing despite of the agent’s effort to de-escalate the call.
Agent: Pasigaw na sinabi na “Mister customer! I can only help you with your concern if you stop F&*$#KING me!!!!”
That’s all for today. I’ll reserve the rest on the next edition. If you have new call center bloopers, send them over at callcenterph (at) gmail (dot) com.
